The Simplicity In Sound Approach to Installation
In today's world of car audio installation, I see a lot of extremes. On one hand, there are so many shops that turn out horrible installs, both cosmetic and integrity wise. Loose wires everywhere, holes drilled all over the place, huge boxes that take up the entire trunk, etc etc. On the other end of the spectrum, there are shops that turn out fantastic looking installs with a ton of painted fiberglass, often with subs and amps everywhere...while these systems are great for shows and gets alot of attention, they are hardly the choice for the average daily driver, and are a lot more prone to failures and theft...not to mention a huge drain on your finances.
The Simplicity in Sound approach to installation strives to find a happy medium between the two extremes.
Clean - As you will see through my installation pics, regardless if the install is budget minded or competition ready, I will always make sure the end product comes out clean. This means tidy wiring, well cut trim panels, smoohtly wrapped shapes, and cosmetically pleasing arrangements of equipment.
Sound Quality - I am not a fan of a system that is focused on booming bass alone. I prefer a balanced sound quality that has as much smooth highs and punchy midbass as superb bass. Once again, regardless of overall price, i always try to achieve the best overall sound quality possible within the limits of the equipment and budget. This usually involves things such as getting as nice of a front stage as possible, and installing it in a SQ oriented fashion, doing a bit of sound dampening, and tuning the system afterwards for sound quality.
Simplicity - As our name suggest, I try to keep each system as simple as possible. Instead of 4 amps, 4 subs, and 10 speakers, 90 percent of my installs involve one or two amps, one pair of front speakers, and one or two subs. The reason for this is: one, it costs less! :) two, it is actually easier to achieve superior sound quality with less components! Three, less chance of component failure; and four, easier to keep the installation clean.
Stealth - As you see in my install gallery, I often do installs that takes away very little, if any, usable trunk space. The system can also be hidden with covering panels and stock carpeting. I am a strong believer in doing systems that detracts as little from the utility of the vehicle as possible. furthermore, a stealthy system means one that is less likely to get stolen.
Overall, the net effect of my approach is that the customer will end up with a system that sounds great, look good, cost less, and is very easy to live with on a daily basis.
My Values in Customer Service
People nowadays often get stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to shopping for a car audio installation shop. One hand, there are shops that quote staggeringly LOW prices just to get you in the door, but often turn out shoddy work. There are simply too many horror stories of people getting screwed over by shops that do very poor work, and then will not stand behind their work and fix the problems. Then, there are shops that turn out very hgh end installs, but charge at a price level that would give most customers second thoughts. And even worse, there are shops that charge a ton and still manage to do horrible work.
So how does one find a reliable shop that doesnt charge a ton????!! Honestly, I have NO answer to that question. But, what i CAN tell you is that Simplicity In Sound is indeed one of these shops.
As you read through the forum posts linked to my install photos, you will see a pattern develope. And that is customer satisfaction. Aside from the quality of my installs, the number one reason why people continue to come to me is that they know i will treat them and their vehicles with respect.
- I only work on one car at a time, and will devote 100 percent of my energy on the vehicle
- I treat each vehicle like my own, and will make sure each crimp, each screw and each trim panel cut is done upto my own standards, which often, turns out to be higher than the customer's own.
- I try to work with each customer's budget, designing system that can achieve the greatest sonic performance within their budget. Often going out of my way to give them discounts. You will never find me pushing equipment on customers just trying to make some extra cash. In fact, I often talk customers OUT OF more complex and expensive system designs.
- I stand behind my work 100 percent, if something breaks, i will take care of it right away.
- Because I do this out of passion and care more about the end result than the quick buck, I often add extra details while I am doing the install. One of the most common phrases I hear from my customers upon picking up their car is, "Wow, this turned out a lot better than I expected and cooler than what we discussed! Did I pay for all this??" :)
